When you are fortunate enough to get a chance at a DRAGON & LOTUS PLATE, you take it!! I bought this years ago and haven't regretted it one second!! It's proudly displayed in my house currently and it will be tough to see it go. The plates are VERY tough to locate... so it's a great find!
The iridescence on this plate carries the most AMAZING COLORS! Look at them!! CHARTREUSE!! AQUA!! HOT PINK!! YELLOW!! Really unusual and beautiful!! The fact that it's a flat plate allows you to take in the colors without interference from the ruffling. It is not a shiny plate, but more like a satiny finish... very soft in appearance as far as that goes but the iridescence packs a punch!!
This plate is so great it's featured in my 2011 Carnival Glass Calendar!!
The last marigold Dragon & Lotus plate sold for more than I'm asking on this one even though iridescence wise this one could very well be better... AND you get FREE SHIPPING!
I'm not kidding when I say that these are terrifically hard to come by. It is the only marigold one I've ever had.

I used no artificial lighting, all is natural light from outdoors... this means I do not take a lamp outside with me to make my glass look shiny... inside when you open these items they will have a better shine because of your indoor lighting. I also don't use any "super sheen" products or anything on the glass other than mild detergent/soap to wash the dirt off with.
