UNUSUAL and BEAUTIFUL!!
These are WONDERFUL iridescent art glass candleholders or vases!! You decide!!! They were clearly made by Poschinger... BUT I'm not sure if they were from the 1930s or the "Martin Weinberger Collection" in 1981. I was under the impression that the Weinberger versions were signed MW but that is just what my research turned up... I see no signatures on these.
What I DO know about them is that they are lovely and have a nice iridescence upon a frosty white background! There are "aeolus" (like Hanging Hearts) and "fleurs" (that vining effect) in amethyst glass... truly a neat display!!
I have no idea if you'd like one or the pair... so it's up to you!! I think they should be a pair but the one is slightly different in size as you can see... it's nothing different than you'd typically find with hand made art glass!
I use no artificial lighting, all is natural light from outdoors... this means I do not take a lamp outside with me to make my glass look shiny... inside when you open these items they will have a better shine because of your indoor lighting. I also don't use any "super sheen" products or anything on the glass other than mild detergent/soap to wash the dirt off with.
